Now in its second season, Sin Vergüenza highlights the importance of obtaining HIV medical treatment and support for disclosure and acceptance of dealing with a diagnosis. It was designed as an educational tool to draw in audiences and provoke discussion on HIV prevention and treatment nationwide.ĪltaMed’s English and Spanish telenovela web-series Sin Vergüenza (Without Shame) was developed to address the impact HIV has on the Latino community. With a vision to increase HIV awareness and reduce HIV stigma, AltaMed created and produced this one of a kind bilingual telenovela filled with drama and suspense. Sin Vergüenza is a thought provoking, cutting edge drama that uses storytelling to tackle shame and stigma associated with HIV within the Latino community.
